George and Lannette built their first river cottage in 2003, where their children spent every summer. That special place changed their family forever — it taught them the simple joy of slowing down and truly connecting with the people they love. As their family grew, they dreamed of creating something bigger, and that dream became Pine Haven on Smith Mountain Lake.
They’ve poured their hearts into restoring three 1990s log homes and building two more, creating a place where your family and friends can experience that same magic. Every cabin is thoughtfully prepared with a fully stocked kitchen and soft, comfortable linens and towels throughout. George and Lannette personally respond to every guest to make sure your stay goes smoothly.
